Playing To Win
I appeared on Channel 9's Today Extra on September 27 and Richard Glover's ABC Drive on September 29; I also spoke at the Kiama Readers Festival on October 15. The book is featured in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. Talking with Clare Bowditch at ABC Melbourne on October 19 was a delight, as was chatting with Phil Brady at 3AW.
I'll be speaking at the NSW State Library at lunchtime on November 8. I was 'in conversation' with Jimmy Barnes, talking about his great book Working Class Boy (and slipping in a plug for Playing To Win) while in Bowral on November 3.
Thanks to Sue Chaplin for the following: 'I started this book on Monday of this week - i've just finished it - most definitely a book a just I couldn't put down - well done Jeff Apter - loved it !!' Click and see what other readers are saying about the book. There's more ratings here, too.
Michael Pursche has produced another great podcast of Sitting In A Bar in Adelaide, featuring me, the book and loads of Farnham music; likewise Mark Naumann from the excellent Purple Haze program in Melbourne. Highly recommended. And here's a story about how I became a Farnsie convert, as well as a great discussion with Bilko at 96.1 FM and ABC Adelaide. Thanks also to Trevor Chappell at ABC Overnight and Oz Rolling Stone, for whom I wrote about the twisted history of 'You're the voice'. This is from the Daily Review.
Thanks to Glen Humphries at the Illawarra Mercury for talking with me about Playing to Win. And the book is keeping some stellar company on Amazon's ebook bestseller list. This great review ran in the Murdoch papers.
You might even spot the book on your local bus. Well, the outside, anyway.
Playing to Win was also chosen as Dymocks Book of the Week and will be released in softcover during October 2017
